A


Alex, Ben is an author of almost forty books,  ranging from Christian children’s books to biographies, inspirational, and adult spirituality books. He has received the C.S. Lewis Gold Medal for best Christian children’s book in the U.S. Ben grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark,  in the 50’s and 60’s with a solid background in the Evangelical Lutheran Church. He has also been involved in the charismatic and ecumenical movements. For many years he lived in California and Oregon but resides now in Denmark with his wife. He has six children.

Alex, Marlee, mother of three daughters, is a columnist and author of several books on family topics. She is an independent editorial consultant who lives in Sisters, Oregon.

Brown, Sherry has been a freelance proofreader and editor since the fall of 2016, after having been a teacher and librarian for over 25 years.  She lives in Michigan with her husband, son, and black lab, across the state from her daughter and new son-in-law.  Loving to travel, she has been to 49 states, and is looking forward to someday being able to visit Hawaii.  Her hobbies include photography, drama, reading, volunteering, and playing board games.

Burrows, Jennifer is a mother of 3 and book author with a B.S. in elementary education from Liberty University with a concentration in English. She has her M.S. in education from the State University of New York, College at Brockport. She holds a New York State Permanent Teaching K-6 Certificate. Jennifer currently resides in Southern California with her husband and their three amazing boys. She has worked as a freelance writer and editor since 1995 and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Rochester Area Children’s Writers and Illustrators, and Children’s Book Insider.

Carroll, Vanessa, has been writing professionally since 2009. She writes, edits, and proofreads for such publishers as Scandinavia Publishing, Zondervan Publishing House, Thomas Nelson Publishers, and many more. Vanessa lives in Michigan with her husband and two daughters. For fun, she enjoys traveling to warm places during the cold Michigan springtime, the many beaches of Lake Michigan, running, studying Chinese and of course reading all the books she can get her hands on.

Dijkmeijer, Jolanda was born in 1958 in Amersfoort, Netherlands. She is a published children’s book author, inspired by her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies include playing violin, crafts and gardening. 

De Graaf, Anne has written more than eighty books which have sold over 4 million copies worldwide and been translated into more than forty languages. The final book in her “Hidden Harvest series” of adult novels, Out of the Red Shadow, won the Christy Award 2000 for International Historical Fiction. Anne de Graaf has also worked as a journalist for the Dutch national press agency, and economics translator for the Dutch government. Born in San Francisco and a graduate of Stanford University, she has lived the past 20 years in Ireland and The Netherlands with her husband and their two children. During the 1999 Frankfurt World Book Fair, Anne de Graaf was awarded the East-European Christian Literature Award.

Goodman, Cynthia is a freelance writer residing in the US. She has co-authored various children’s books and has written other titles as a ghost writer.

Hellyer, Peter is an established workshop leader of many years. A children’s pastor for over 30 years Peter now performs and teaches puppetry nationally and internationally. A writer and broadcaster, Peter has written a number of publications. Peter has been married to Diane for over 40 years and has three sons and three grandsons. Peter and Diane live in West Sussex, England.

Jensen, Joy Melissa was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1984 and graduated in International Studies from University of Oregon in 2005. She has since developed her extraordinary writing and illustration skills into her own unique style. She currently resides in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Jensen, Leyah, also called LM Alex, was born in Denmark in 1980. She studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design in the U.S. She then has led a career in children’s publishing for more than a decade specializing in celebrity authors, children’s photography and educational diversity. Under her own authorship, she has enjoyed titles published around the world.

Jones, Sharon is a dynamic, motivational speaker, parenting educator, non-fiction author and lecturer, and gospel recording artist. She works with parents and families on the issues of abuse, effective parenting and family values. Jones attended Rutgers University NCAS and Chabot College. She graduated from Union University in Cincinnati, Ohio with her BA in Maternal Child Health.  She was born in Jamaica and is a world traveler. She is married, with four children and resides in California with her loving husband.

Jooss, Erich was born in 1946 in Hechingen, Germany. He is a manager of the Saint Michael’s alliance, chairperson of the Bavarian land headquarters for new media (BLM) and author. Dr. Erich Jooss studied German studies, history and political sciences. In September, 1976 he began at the Saint Michael’s alliance as an assistant of the management. From 1989, he was a representative of the Bavarian bishops’ conference for new media. He is an adviser of the journalistic committee of the German bishops’ conference. Beside these activities he is an author of children’s books.

Kauffman, Carol A. was born in Kunming, China in 1949. She is the wife of Dale Kauffman, Founder of KKI (Kings Kids International) and Gateway. She is the mother of four adult children and grandmother to four grandsons. Her publications include “Paul’s Life and Journeys” and 24 books in “The Gift Book Series” all with Scandinavia Publishing House.

Lli, Sylver is a children’s book author that has traveled the world and speaks multiple languages. She has extensive domain experience in the publishing industry as a designer and editor and has a passion for helping self-publishers bring their books to market. She currently resides in Austin, Texas with her husband and their children.

M


Marcus, Jan is a Swiss professional banker as well as a poet and long time freelance fiction writer. He has a MBA in business from the UK. His connection to children’s fiction has a lot to do with the fact that he’s the father of 5.

Marquès, Cristina, from Brazil, has a degree in literature and theology. She have been working in publishing for many years, and is also a writer of children’s books and adult books.

Miller, Dan is a Dutch/American entrepreneur and creative director. He holds various patents and enjoys seeing new ideas come to life. His inspiration for children’s writing comes from being a father 4 and seeing a gap in the market for fun inspirational children’s books. He is currently pursuing a degree in physics in California while building his next creative venture.

Dr. Möller, Lennart is a research scientist in the field of medicine and DNA-research from Sweden. He has studied a number of subjects (limnology, marine biology, toxicology, chemistry) at the Universities of Uppsala and Stockholm and has a doctors degree in medicine from the Karolinska Institutet (KI). He is now a professor and head of the Research Laboratory of Analytical Toxicology at KI – medical university of Stockholm that decides about the Nobel Prize in Medicine. In addition to his work as a scientist and the publishing of scientific articles, Dr. Möller has published a number of books related to theology, ethics, cancer, urban air, environmental medicine, archaeology and scientific images.

Mortensen, Carl Anker is a family and youth pastor in Denmark.

Newton, Andrew is a secondary English teacher and freelance editor/proofreader who has been writing in various forms for over a decade. He lives in Michigan, USA, with his wife and child, where he draws inspiration from the people and natural beauty around him.

Nissen, Henri is editor-in-chief of the Danish Christian magazine Udfordringen (The Challenge). He has worked as a press secretary in the Danish Parliament, and for the Danish Santal Mission (now Danmission) and the Danish Sudan Mission (SUM-D). He has traveled and worked in Asia and Africa. With his wife Birthe and his children Henrik, Maj-Britt and John he lived and worked as a consultant for LWF on a radio station in Cameroon for three years. He still hold a part-time job as a consultant in communication for the French speaking countries in Africa. He has so far published six books.

Olesen (Fodor), Cecilie is a Christian writer, who used to be editor of Scandinavia Publishing House. Cecilie loves great storytelling and finds there is (almost) nothing as good as a great book and that to produce them is a privilege. She currently lives in the Middle East with her husband and two daughters.

Pahus Pedersen, Karoline is an author making her living from writing in various capacities. Her educational background is in business marketing. Karoline is married, has two lovely children and lives in the outskirts of Copenhagen Denmark.

Sailsbury, Austin is an American writer and creative consultant currently living and serving as a missionary in Copenhagen, Denmark. For over ten years he has worked simultaneously in the fields of ministry and media – striving to inspire others through the power of stories. He is the author of one book, several songs, and six plays for children. Austin is currently at work on his first full-length work of fiction for young adults.

Stancliff, Guy David is a writer and author from the Pacific Northwest, USA, who currently resides in Toronto. He has lived in the Northwest US, Jerusalem, and Canada. He has written biographies, screenplays, articles, ghostwritten hundreds of picture books and short stories, and much more.

Steele, Blake is a modern mystic, one of God’s vagabonds on earth, traveling to do creative work and share God’s abundant love. A versatile artist, he has written over 2,000 poems. He is also a lyricist for choral pieces and a photographer.

Sutina, Stella Maris is graduated from the Faculty of Communication, University of Padjadjaran, Indonesia. She has been working over the past 7 years in advertising and communications companies worldwide. Stella is now active as a consultant in the field of marketing communications and retail, as well as a trainer and director of Asia Pasicifc Retail Institutes (APRI). In 2006 she gained an Early Childhood Teaching Diploma from the International Centre for Early Childhood Education, Singapore. She authored the children’s storybook I Love you by God with her 7-year-old daughter Kyla Christie Hambali.

Tillotson Schröder, Susanne has a 4 year course in pedagogy from Copenhagen, and an MA in Children’s Illustration from Wrexham University. She is married with 2 boys. Her boys inspire much of what she writes for children.

Valkema, Liza-Beth is a Dutch artist and illustrator. After her education in Art History at University of Groningen as well as painting at NISS in Oslo, Norway, she worked at KunstVerket Galleri in Oslo for 2 years. Back home in the Netherlands she has her own gallery/ studio where she teaches painting and drawing to children and adults, and works for several publishers. Liza-Beth lives in Elburg with her husband and 2 young children.

Vium, Daniel is a Christian creative genius living in Copenhagen, Denmark. Before working with books in the family business, he graduated from the School of architecture. He now uses his gifts of design ideas and conceptual thinking as an architect again. He has 3 teenage girls with his wife Trine.

Vium-Olesen, Jacob is the CEO at Scandinavia Publishing House, where he has been working for more than 15 years. Jacob loves to write and think about products and how they can communicate the Gospel in the best way to the intended audience. He lives in Copenhagen, Denmark together with his wife Linda. Together they have 4 small boys.

Wysocki, Michelle is a mother of 4, writer, editor & children’s book enthusiast residing in California. She studied data science at Irvine Valley College and Berkley. She enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her children.
